Representative Kay Khan will be honored as the Mass NOW 2011 Legislator of the Year at their annual meeting this Thursday, November 10th for her longstanding commitment to and advocacy on behalf of many of the issues that MassNOW supports including; paid sick days, access to safe and healthy birth options and reproductive rights, transgender rights, among many others.
Founded in 1968, the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Organization for Women (Mass. NOW) is the only multi-issue, multi-strategy feminist organization in the Commonwealth. With nine local chapters across the state, Mass. NOW works to advance the equal status of women and girls in all aspects of their lives. |
