This Bill would require insurers to recognize that anesthesia may be necessary for some dental patients to receive oral health care. It would require the insurer to cover such costs if the doctor finds anesthesia necessary in certain procedures. Thirty other states have already passed similar legislation. This Bill would increase the number of people in Massachusetts who can receive oral health care and also lower the financial burdens for some families.
